About Us

The Staff at Sand Run Pharmacy values the importance of training and education to keep abreast of new trends and to improve our skills and knowledge to better serve you. Our staff of pharmacy technicians are certified to meet the highest standard of care and to better assist our pharmacists and you. Our pharmacists are licensed by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and certified in their respective areas of specialty. We currently serve as an experiential site for pharmacy students at Ohio Northern University, The Ohio State University and Northeastern Ohio College of Pharmacy. Our pharmacists are members of the National Community Pharmacists Association and the Ohio Pharmacists Association. A little about them:

Tom Lamb; Pharmacist and Director of day to day operations and billing. Tom handles billing of Medicare and other insurance companies among his many responsibilities.He is our resource for home health items, support hosiery, wheelchairs and durable medical equipment. Tom coordinates all of our seasonal flu vaccine clinics that we hold in the community. Tom acts as the preceptor for students that rotate through our workplace as part of their educational process at their respective college of pharmacy.

Meg Lamb; Pharmacist and coordinator of compounding at Sand Run Pharmacy. Meg also is trained in areas including, immunizations, diabetes, sterile products and her favorite; veterinary compounding. Meg received her training and continues to train through the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists, Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) as well as being active in other professional and community organizations. Meg can often be found in the community at schools promoting pharmacy, talking to seniors about fall prevention or promoting Type II diabetes education. She serves on the Pallative Care Board at Akron Children's Hospital and on the Summit County coalition for Senior Health and Safety. Meg also is a member of the Dean's Advisory board at Northeastern Ohio College of Pharmacy.

Jason Sloan; Staff Pharmacist graduated from Ohio Northern University in 2005 with a Pharm D degree.  Jason was an intern at Sand Run Pharmacy during his sixth year of school and has been with Sand Run Pharmacy since graduation.  He specializes in our blood sugar and cholesterol screenings.  Jason is also trained to administer immunizations.
