Veterinary Compounding

Sand Run Pharmacy has been providing compounding services for our human customers since our doors first opened. Recognizing a need among veterinarians for specialized compounding, staff members attend training at the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists. This certification has allowed us to expand our existing compounding.

We will do our best to assist you, your veterinarian and your pet to achieve the therapeutic goal desired. Using our resources and references we work as a team to keep your animals happy and healthy.

Due to insufficient supply of veterinary-labeled drugs, it has become a routine veterinary practice to use human-labeled drugs to treat diseases and ailments in animals. Unfortunately, most mass produced human medications have limited strengths and dosage forms, which do not fit the needs of many veterinary patients. Likewise, in the event that a former product has been discontinued by a manufacturer, this may create a frustrating dilemma.
