
Covid Vaccine Guidelines effective March 4, 2021
This week, the vaccine allocation under Phase 1C and Phase 2 of Governor DeWine’s vaccine rollout will include Ohioans age 60 and above. This week’s allocation also includes individuals born with or who have early childhood conditions carried into adulthood. Disease states include: Sickle cell anemia, Down syndrome, Cystic fibrosis, Muscular dystrophy, Cerebral palsy, Spina bifida, People born with severe heart defects, requiring regular specialized medical care, People with severe type 1 diabetes who have been hospitalized for this in the past year, Phenylketonuria (PKU), Tay-Sachs, and other rare, inherited metabolic disorders, Epilepsy with continuing seizures; hydrocephaly; microcephaly, and other severe neurological disorders, Turner syndrome, fragile X syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and other severe genetic disorders, People with severe asthma, who have been hospitalized for this in the past year, Alpha and beta thalassemia, Solid organ transplant candidates and recipients, Type 1 diabetes, Pregnant women, Bone marrow transplant recipients and ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Phase 1C includes the following Occupations: Childcare Services Administrators, lead and assistant teachers, and substitutes who are enrolled in Ohio’s Professional Registry who are currently working in open childcare and pre-kindergarten programs. Licensing specialists employed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services or county job and family services agencies. This phase does not include parent volunteers, board members, or owners/administrators that do not provide in-classroom supports. Funeral Services Embalmers/morticians, funeral home directors, crematory operators, and apprentices. Law Enforcement and Corrections Examples of law enforcement occupations included in Phase 1C are police officers; sheriff’s deputies; Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers; other state or federal enforcement officers such as Ohio Department of Natural Resource enforcement staff, pharmacy board investigators, BCI agents, state fire marshal investigators, federal transportation security officers, and other federal law enforcement officers who do not have access to vaccination from federal sources. Corrections staff: Eligibility includes corrections staff, including probation and parole staff, who provide direct services to an adult or juvenile inmate or court-supervised individual. This includes staff in privately run settings. Firefighters: Individuals who have a valid active firefighting certificate in the State of Ohio who are active members or employees of a recognized fire department. This does not include retired, emeritus, or reserve individuals.

COVID vaccine is now available…please read below
We have begun the process of scheduling people that have signed up for the COVID-19 vaccine on our waitlist. If it is your time to schedule, you will receive a phone call from us telling you to call the pharmacy to schedule your appointment. We anticipate appointments to fill up rapidly and recommend to call back ASAP to secure your appointment. Only those that have received a phone call from us are eligible for scheduling at this time. Please do NOT call to schedule unless you receive that call from us. We are hopeful that vaccine will continue to be shipped to us on a routine basis and we will be able to accommodate all those that are interested. Please be patient as we work through the process. We will reach out to you via phone call when the vaccine is available and time to schedule your appointment. When that call is received it is very important to call the pharmacy back quickly since appointments will fill up rapidly.
