Air Quality Alerts: what does this mean to me ?

Have you ever heard or seen air quality alerts on TV, radio, or online? These alerts are meant to tell you when air pollution is at a higher level than normal. Certain individuals, especially the elderly, infants, children, and those with breathing illnesses can be at higher risk of a breathing or asthma attack during these times. Pay attention to these warnings and try to limit the amount of time you and your loved ones are outside, especially from 10am to 4pm. To help cut down on pollution, consider carpooling, combining multiple errands into one trip, and making sure your car is properly maintained.
