Calcium helps to build strong bones and Vitamin D is needed to help your body absorb calcium from your diet. Dairy products are a great source of calcium. Anyone 50 or older needs 800-1000 IU of Vitamin D daily. Women under 50 and men under 70 years need 1000mg of calcium daily. Women over 50 and men over 70 need 1200mg of calcium daily. If you aren’t getting enough, you may need to take a daily supplement.
