Oral Health

It’s really important for us to remember that oral health matters too when it comes to our overall health. Oral health has been linked to diseases such as diabetes and heart disease as well as risky habits such as tobacco and diets high in sugar. Oral health problems common in adults include tooth decay, gum disease, tooth loss, and oral cancer. Some simple ways for adults to keep their mouths and teeth healthy are to practice good oral hygiene including brushing and flossing, visiting the dentist on a regular basis, limiting tobacco and alcohol, and using toothpaste or mouthwash with fluoride.
